EIS-AFRICA MEMBER BENEFITS:
- Members will receive all EIS-AFRICA publications free of charge;
- Members will be able to vote for the Board of Directors;
- Members are eligible for nomination to the Board of Directors;
- Receive substantial discounts on publications, proceedings, and a discount on registration at AfricaGIS (the premier Africa-wide conference on GIS organized every two years);
- Members will be prioritised for sponsorship to conferences and workshops;
- Registration on the EIS-AFRICA member database;
- Members will be prioritised for any consulting work;
- Members will be able to advertise any vacancies on the EIS-AFRICA website;
- Enjoy enhanced networking opportunities with EIS professionals throughout the continent, in particular the involvement in the implementation of its General Program;
- Reciprocal membership to the Association of American Geographers (AAG)

- Members must agree to support the mission and goals of the organization;
- pay annual dues;
- and participate in the network.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS
EIS-AFRICA offers individual and institutional memberships of which the prices are as follows :
- Individual members: US$50 per two years; US $ 30 per year
- Institutional members: US$200 per two years (for commercial organisations)
- Non-profit institutions: US$100 per two year. (Universities, NGOs etc.)
Opportunities to sponsor EIS-AFRICA activities exist. These include the following :
- Advertising in the newsletter;
- Support for AfricaGIS and other events; and
- Direct contributions to sustain the work of the organization.
